Weekend Wrap
A few final observations from the weekend:
- I left my umbrella outside when I was hanging out the washing on our hills hoist. Then I worried about what would happen to the umbrella if it rained. That is idiotic on every possible level.
- The Puffing Billy Cafe in Belgrave is a good spot for lunch, particularly with three children all aged 4 and under.
- It is impossible to drive from my house to the airport and back on Citylink without ending up in entirely the wrong lane around 27 times.
- If you haven’t been to see the Earth From Above exhibition at Federation Square, you should go right now.
- My Honey Bear is back from Sydney. I am a happy, happy man.

Well, I think the Puffing Billy Cafe makes up (if only in a small way) for the absence of your honey bear. What a great dad! And what a great memory for the kids!
At least you know where your umbrella is, I'm Not Craig.
Sadly, I do not seem able to form lasting relationships with umbrellas.
I bought four absolutely fantastic ones from Lincraft for $14.95 each a couple of years ago intending not to get caught in the rain again. I now only know where one of those is. :( The other three didn't move to NSW with me and I know they didn't get left behind, so the *only* conclusion is that some umbrella thief stole them from me. Yet another reason to keep off ooo Adelaide, I'm Not Craig.. :)
I'm a bit upset with you mister.
DID THE UMBRELLA FILL UP AND BECOME A MASSIVE HUGE BIRDBATH OR NOT?
interesting you weren't worried about the washing should it rain.
i like the way your mind works.

You are very kind. Thank you.

I assure you I share your difficulties with long term relationships and umbrellas. Fortunately, the patent absurdity of the umbrella's location made it memorable.

It didn't rain.
Let's never fight again, etc

It is very kind of you to suggest that my mind was, in any sense, working.
I'm not sure which is more absurd, worrying more about the umbrella than the washing, or having an umbrella with me whilst hanging the washing out.
The lines are open, vote now.
my vote is having the umbrella out while hanging out the washing. simply put, unless it's one of those very fetch strap-on-head-jobs, then i simply don't know how you thought you were going to manage with only two hands.
and don't get all excited, readers, about me saying head + jobs together. it's all about context!
Melbs,
When the context is the phrase "strap-on-head-jobs" I think you have to allow for the possibility that readers will get excited.
I'm just saying, etc
