Huh? What?

We apologise for this temporary break in blogging, arising from a fairly unexpected visit from relatives who live interstate.

To help pass the time until blogging resumes, here's a list of words that start to sound really strange if you say them too often, to the point that you will wonder if they really are part of the English language at all:
1. Elbow
2. Geese
3. Pumpkin
4. Lathe
5. Nephew
6. Potsy

And there's probably more.

You are becoming a little obsessed with the larger member of the Squash Family aren't you?

I think all of these words become even less familiarly English when pronouncd by Blackadder.

My life is significantly better for knowing that.

Harpo
Yes, pumpkin.

Actonb
Yes, I'm still obsessed. My mother in law tells me that pumpkins really do climb fences, but it's possible that the woman is insane.

You're bang on the money (as ever) about Blackadder.

Meva
Yes, and also pants, carp, tennis and faculty.

Also, Honey Bear is too over it as the result of our recent visitors to say anything much, but asked me to say a general 'hi' to everyone for her. This woman needs to start a blog, like, now.

Yes, I thought someone might pull me up on the 'Potsy' one. I was probably pushing the envelope a little bit with that one, but I had to include it because it is such a fantastic example of the genre.

Also, absolutely right on the picnic front.

GW
Honey Bear will be very pleased, and no doubt will want me to waved back for her
